  2. Currently passing ALL courses (measured on the most recent report card)
  3. 90% punctuality for all school days in the previous/current semester

Exploratory

All HAFTR Middle School students take an exploratory class every Friday. The role of Exploratory in HAFTR Middle School is to provide students with experiences in areas beyond the core subjects, such as drama, music, health, art, Zionism, foreign language, advanced Torah study, life skills and technology. Students typically have around twenty options for exploratory and will have an opportunity to take three separate classes each year (each exploratory class cycle is between 8 – 10 weeks).

Field Trips

Throughout the school year there are a number of field trips that each student’s class will be scheduled for. These trips, including each grade’s major trip in the spring, are designed to be educational in nature, related to the students’ curriculum, and fun.

Along with other important documents, HAFTR Middle School will send home a Field Trip Permission Form in late August to all families. This form will give consent for every field trip for the year and must be completed and returned to each child’s 1st period teacher on the first day of school. Any parent with questions should reach out to Principal Gold.
