Early Childhood

Welcome to Early Childhood where we provide a warm, caring, comfortable and safe environment for our children. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum reflects a core base of knowledge in both Judaic and General Studies which serves as a foundation for later learning. Love of Torah, Mitzvot, Medinat Yisrael, and Am Yisrael are the cornerstones of our program. Jewish traditions and values inspire everyday learning opportunities and lifelong connections to Judaism.

Building a child’s self-esteem is our primary goal. We do this by providing a nurturing and stimulating environment in which a child is free to take risks, ask questions and, in the hands of warm and accepting teachers, each child progresses at his/her own pace.  Our Morot utilize a variety of teaching strategies that recognize the diversity of learning styles. We are excited to have you partner with us as we lay the foundations for a lifetime of learning.

Our school recognizes the power of play.  Play is the primary occupation of a child.  We provide a safe and healthy learning environment that will advance your child's physical and intellectual competence, communication skills and creativity.  Social and emotional development is encouraged to nurture self-esteem and responsibility.

Our children acquire the foundational literacy skills in English and Hebrew by participating in meaningful language enriched experiences. Their knowledge of עברית is furthered by our language immersion program "Chalav U'dvash.  Our specialty programs feature music, computers, gym, science, art, and library.

Our STEM program, with state-of-the-art teaching supplies and materials, provides opportunities for children to experiment, discover, explore, create, investigate, practice theories, solve problems and express ideas with the support of other children and the Morot.

Parents are viewed as partners, collaborators and advocates for their children and they are an integral part of the educational process.  In recognition of this important role, parent involvement is actively sought, encouraged, and welcomed. We work together to build trusting relationships that support each child's individuality, creativity and potential.

"This Shabbos our daughter serenaded us with all of the beautiful Hebrew songs she learned with her Morot.”

“My daughter came down with a fever last night but was feeling her usual perky self. When she woke up this morning, she picked out her clothes for school. When I told her she couldn’t go to school because she was sick, she was outraged. She proclaimed her NEED to go to school. I realized how lucky I am that she is so happy in school. It is a testament to the quality of her education.”

“I just wanted to tell you that our children really truly enjoy the nursery school. You do a wonderful job and you can see it on the children’s faces. Everyone is warm and caring and you make it an amazing place for our children to grow!”

“Today my son’s class was really the happiest place on earth! His teachers are just amazing. Their hearts are so insanely huge and they are just filled with love and sunshine! I feel so lucky to leave him every day in such a warm,
happy environment! I thank you and HAFTR from the bottom of my heart!”
