Dear HAFTR Family,
We are excited to share with you HAFTR’s Back to School Blueprint. It is with great excitement that we anticipate safely reopening with orientation on Monday, August 31 and in-person learning resuming on Tuesday, September 1.
Our plans for reopening school are not yet concrete, but we want to include you in our planning process. We have formed a task force of professionals to guide our decisions, and have been working diligently to plan for various scenarios. We are making every effort to ensure we will adhere to potential guidelines to be released by the CDC, New York State, and Nassau County in the coming weeks.
As long as the COVID-19 situation remains fluid, we are developing an assortment of educational models to ensure we are able to act responsively to the diverse needs of our students. We will keep our communications with you transparent and frequent, continuing to include you in our planning process as we receive further guidance.
The partnership with our parent body is the foundation of our school community. We hope that everyone remains healthy and safe, and we look forward to a wonderful and exciting school year to come.
