About HAFTR Middle School
|
Mission
The goal of the HAFTR Middle School is to guide students in grades six through eight from the foundational discovery years of the primary grades to the exciting challenges of high school in both Judaic and General Studies. Recognizing the many changes during this stage of life, the school centers on the religious, intellectual, social, emotional, moral and physical development needs of young adolescents. The HAFTR Middle School celebrates the uniqueness of this age by providing innovative, stimulating and diverse learning opportunities that address specific developmental needs of each student in a nurturing environment. Since middle school corresponds to the age of Bar/Bat Mitzvah, our curriculum addresses the significant transition from childhood to adult responsibility from a Torah perspective. Students are imbued with an understanding of the purpose and goals of Judaism. A close relationship between home and school is encouraged to maximize the potential of each child.
VISION
We want to produce students who are knowledgeable, responsible, thoughtful and respectful who are fervently committed to a modern Orthodox (Torah) way of life.
