The Middle School years are a time of rapid change and maturation physically, emotionally, spiritually and academically. The administration, faculty and staff all work together to provide the HAFTR student with the necessary skills to advance their intellectual growth and foster a love for learning. Our faculty recognizes that each student is a unique individual and guides our youngsters to work at their greatest potential. The various curricula – in both Limudei Kodesh (Judaic studies) and general studies – are designed to be interactive, diversified and challenging. The school day reflects the integration of religion and worldly pursuits.
As middle school corresponds to the age of Bar/Bat Mitzvah our classroom and co-curricular experiences address the significant transition from childhood to adult responsibility from a Torah perspective. Students are imbued with an understanding of the importance and relevance of the Mitzvoth – both between Man and Creator (Ben AdamLamakom) and Man and fellow Man (Ben Adam L’Chavero).
The classroom experience is further enriched by exploratory programs, art, music, writing workshops, a graduation research thesis, class trips, student government, chagigot and yemei iyun, and after-school clubs and athletics.

DRESS CODE
To enhance school spirit and to ensure a neat and modest appearance all students must come to school dressed in the prescribed school uniform. Our uniform is quite distinctive and fashionable and will continue to bring much pride to our Yeshiva. Our students, dressed in their individual uniforms, will serve as our ambassadors to the larger community. We count on every parent’s support and encouragement in this endeavor.
Our Parent-Student Handbook reviews all school attire guidelines and expectations both for boys and for girls.
