HAFTR PTA
|
Many people often ask what is the HAFTR PTA? While the function of the PTA is to serve as a liaison between the administration and the parent body, the HAFTR PTA does so much more. The money raised through PTA activities goes directly back to our children. The PTA is proud to support numerous programs which benefit all our children from Early Childhood through Upper School.
The PTA sponsors Rosh Chodesh treats, the 5th grade father/son evening, the Lower School Chanukah Chagiga, Health Week, Model Seder, the Middle School Purim Carnival, the Bat Mitzvah workshop, the Bar Mitzvah workshop, and the 8th grade senior gift. In addition in the Upper School, the PTA Sponsors the 9th grade New Parent Night, school wide Chanukah events, the Purim Chagiga, the Senior mother/daughter supper, a senior gift and the senior video.
None of this would be possible without the assistance of our dedicated parent and teacher volunteers. We encourage everyone to take the time to get involved and help give our children the vital programs we as an organization provide.
The PTA can be reached at the HAFTR business office by calling Leslie Rappaport, PTA liaison at 516-569-3370 ext. 30.
