Why does HAFTR need a capital/endowment campaign?

The Mispar HaDorot Initiative will secure HAFTR’s financial stability and provide continual
resources to enhance our already exemplary educational programs. A percentage of funds raised
will support the construction of the new gymnasium and Beit Midrash.

Will I be asked to donate to the Scholarship Dinner during the Capital Campaign?

During the course of the campaign we will ask that donors continue to maintain their current
giving to the Scholarship Dinner. The Scholarship Dinner is vital to the financial health of the
institution. Most schools find that their annual fundraising remains strong or even increases
during a capital/endowment campaign.

What is the dollar goal of the campaign?

The initial goal is $10 million.

How much has been raised so far?

To date, over $3.5 million has been secured.

When will the Campaign be finished?

We anticipate the campaign to be the start of a new era for giving opportunities to HAFTR. We
envision this campaign to have an incredible beginning and remain open ended for years to come.

Who is being asked to support the Campaign?

Everyone in the entire HAFTR family will be asked to support the campaign. All gifts will be
gratefully received and used with care.

How will the funds be managed?

A separate fund has been established and will be managed under a trust agreement by five
trustees who are responsible for the use of the funds within the guidelines of the trust.

How can I pledge a gift to the campaign?

Gifts may be pledges and paid within a three year period, unless otherwise agreed upon. All
donors to the campaign will have a naming opportunity and will be listed in their appropriate
giving category unless they request anonymity.

Today.
